Iphone App: Freestyle

freestyleicon
Since the Flypt app has been a bust, I was looking for an app fix when I heard about this gem: the Freestyle App. It is just as it sounds, an app that serves as a notebook for emcees. It comes complete with beats to rhyme to, a notepad for when a classic lyric hits you, and a feature that lets you record and email your cyphers to the homies. Since I freestyle around the house all day anyway, I thank the developers of this app for allowing me to share these sessions with the family. Read more for a review and videos.

This post is dedicated to my favorite picks on all of the gaming systems I’ve owned, starting with the NES and ending the N64.

PSA: Hip Hop Brackets and Blog Rankings are opinion polls

So Vibe created a list of Best Rap Blogs. So they also have a March Madness tournament style bracket for best rapper ever. The blogosphere is going apesh*t and rappers are turning their laptops on their sides. Here’s the deal: unlike real “Best of” publishings and legitimate tournaments, there is no validating force behind these anomalies, which reduces them to nothing more than personal opinion. Yes, they are very public opinions, but opinions nonetheless. There is some guy behind a keyboard, very much like me, who sat around with his homies and did the very same thing that you and I do: argue about music and who is doper than who.
